Every year during January, I take a visit to IMDB to scope out the movies that are coming at during the year. I get excited—thrilled to be plotting out my year and picking which movies I’m going to love.

Here’s my list of movies in 2015 that I’m dying to see:

1. Insurgent

I only put this first because it’s coming out the earliest. I love Theo James. I think Shailene Woodley has come a long way since her days on ABC Family. I loved the series.

2. Avengers: Age of Ultron

I’ve been a sucker for all Marvel movies. It took me a while to respond, but I have quickly joined the ranks of the Avengers. In fact, I’m also a sucker for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. I think that automatically puts me at the top.

3. Insideout

I recently read “Creativity, Inc.” by Ed Catmull. In it, he describes a future movie that they are working on at Pixar to help illustrate their creative process. That part is cool, but when I realized that he was describing Insideout—I was even more excited. In fact, I may have squealed.

I’ve been obsessed with Pixar for the last two years. I’ve read almost every book I could get my hands on about them. I wish that I could be more creative, but until then, I’ll keep paying money to see their movies.

4. Pitch Perfect 2

I’ll admit that I watched the first one on a Saturday night, home alone. But I truly saw the perfection that is Pitch Perfect. I love a capella. I love modern music. I love mash-ups. Really, this movie was made for me.

5. Mockingjay Part 2

I’m ready for this one. I’m always annoyed with this trend of book to movie adaptations where the third book is split into two movies. Regardless, I’m excited for the last installment—to see what they do and how it all ends.

6. The Peanuts Movie

This one, I’ll admit, I’m just excited to go with my friend. She loves Peanuts. I used to call her Lucy Q because she looks like Lucy (but does not ACT like her). I think Snoopy is one of the cleverest dogs around and Woodstock is my favorite. I can’t wait to see what the story is. Peanuts is timeless. That’s why I watch all their holiday specials every year.
